Gamerbase and Activision are proud to announce its first 'Blur - Powered Racing' tournament season! For this we've teamed together to provide you with an opportunity to prove how good you are and win your share of this superb prize pool!

We're linking up gamers from all of our gamerbase supercentres to compete online using Xbox Live! There is more than just prizes up for grabs in this season, you're also racing to represent your city!

To register for each event, please click on the event links at the top of this page, they have the date on for each of them, so register for those which you will be able to attend. Remember, the more events you enter, the more points you will have at the end of the season.

If you're new to this style of game, fear not! Our staff in any of our gamerbase superstores will be able to help you get started with the game, it couldn't be simpler really and you'll be destroying the competition in no time!

Blur - Powered Racing Tournament

This is a Leaderboard Season tournament, this means that players can choose to come to as many of the events as they choose, the more events you attend - the more points you will accumulate!

There will be 12 events in total, to be held every week starting July 9th on a friday evening inside gamerbase. The events will start at 6pm and finish at 8pm. There will be over £100 in prizes available to win at each of the events every week, and an overall prize of a 64gb ipod touch drawn at the end of the season using our fraglotto system

We will play a selection of tracks during the event as a playlist, the players with the most points at the end of the tracks will win the prizes!

We've put together some excellent prizes for this season of events. We're giving away over £2000 worth of hmv gamerbase gaming credit between the centres! We have over £100 in prizes for each of our friday night racing events, the lucky winners between the centres will receive...

1st Place = 25 hours gamerbase voucher
2nd Place = 9 hours gamerbase voucher
3rd Place = 4 hours gamerbase voucher

... and as a special prize for taking part, one lucky racer who finishes outside of the top 3 will receive £50 gamerbase gaming credit using our fraglotto system!

If you've entered at least one of our 12 events, we'll convert your points earned on the leaderboard into tickets for a Fraglotto draw, and the lucky ticket holder will receive the prize!

Blur - Powered Racing Tournament

1. This tournament is open to any of our registered members! If you don't have an account, please talk to a member of staff inside your chosen venue, and they will set you one up.

2. The tournament will be played on our xbox 360 consoles using gamerbase xbox live profiles.

3. Players must use official xbox 360 controllers.

4. Only standard cars will be allowed, no unlockable cars will be permitted. Class A only.

5. Admin decisions are final, if you have any questions please be sure to ask an admin before your race begins.

6. No cheats are allowed of any kind, any player found cheating will be disqualified from the tournament.

7. The 'gamerbase admin' Xbox live profile will play as the session host for each round.

8. Points will be rewarded using the score system built into the game, it takes results from each of the races you take part in during the event, if there are 10 racers in the event, placing 1st will gain you 10 points, coming 10th will gain you 1 point.
