I had a brainwave this morning to download and install 'Soldat' - a tiny 13mb shareware game which I used to play at lan parties years ago... this is absolutely HILARIOUS! and rushing to install it on other computers half way through the day saw some 12 - 15 people joining the server for the chaos!
For those that don't know... soldat is a 2D shooter, retaining the style of 'worms' but live action and not turn based, and with the guns from Counterstrike.
It's ridiculously hard to master this game, but very easy to jump in and enjoy - some players took to it straight away (d3monik and Ox for example) whilst others were repeated pwned in the face with the chainsaw (my chainsaw usually hahaha) but it inspires so many lolz that no one cares whatsoever. Epic Epic Fun! and something we'll be looking to repeat in the near future (next sat?)
